NEW YORK, September 5, 2008 - Policyholders with questions regarding their coverage for damage caused by Hurricane Gustav should call the claim number provided on their policy or contact their insurance agent or company representative. Those policyholders unable to get to their policies can contact special toll-free numbers set up by insurance companies. This and other hurricane-related information can be found at DisasterInformation.org, the I.I.I.'s disaster preparedness Web site.

Flood insurance policyholders who don't know who their insurer or administrator is can contact the (888-379-9531). The only information required is your name, the state where you live and your zip code.

Click the link below for a list of claim contact numbers put together by the I.I.I.; it is being updated on a daily basis. Keep in mind that due to high call volume, it may take some time to get through on some numbers-please be patient. As you start the claims process, it is also important to note the names and phone numbers of everyone you speak to regarding your loss.
